John Nolan

I am Managing Director of APEX Content Ventures, where I am charged with providing funding for content producers and distributors all around the world to help them make more content. APEX Content Ventures is part of Publicis Media and we have funded hundreds of programmes in Europe, US and LATAM. We fund Prime Time Entertainment Shows and Big International Drama. We fund the programmes that broadcasters want!

 

I was previously Founder and Managing Director of Apollo20, an all3media company which I ran from 2014 to 2017 to create and implement innovative models of funding content production and distribution for the group.

Over the last 25 years, whilst working for North One Television, another all3media company, I produced hundreds of hours of Branded Content. This started as Sports and Events Programmes but developed along with market sophistication into more brand focused Factual and Factual Entertainment Programming and what was also once just broadcast television became truly multi-platform. I have launched and managed Branded TV Channels, YouTube Channels and stand alone web businesses.

I have negotiated the delivery of Branded Content on all of the UK commercial networks, and delivered international distribution, in Europe, Asia and the US.

Before all that I was a producer, specialising in Live Events.

​

I am an expert in European TV regulations working with OFCOM, ACTE, and PACT.

​

I am a member of BAFTA and RTS.
